What The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village say about themselves...

"Drift away from the outside world at the adult-only Spa Hotel. Nestled in 100 acres of beautiful Lancashire countryside in the North West of England just 10 minutes from J32 of the M6, it’s a total escape from the day to day.

The NEW £5m Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village is the perfect place to relax and unwind in exclusive, lavish surroundings. Enjoy a Spa Break, romantic overnight stay or enjoy a Spa Day with treatments tailored specifically to you.

Every detail has been thought about. The 42 sumptuous bedrooms include, Luxury Rooms, Suites, a Junior Suite and an Executive Penthouse. For pre and post pampering indulgence enjoy a drink in The Champagne Bar or dinner in The Brasserie. The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village features a “unique Aqua Thermal Journey”. But what exactly is an ‘Aqua Thermal Journey’ and what are its benefits?

The best way to enjoy the Aqua Thermal Journey is to build up the heat by following a sequence starting with:

1. Aroma room – A beautiful warm room filled with aromatic air from essential oils which will warm your body and gently raise your body temperature. When filled with Eucalyptus this experience is fantastic for a cold and clearing your sinuses and with Lavender it will make you feel relaxed and rested.

2. Aroma steam room – With oils matched to suit the season and mood the aroma steam room is filled with warm, wet heat to soothe, cleanse and relax. It’s fabulous for drawing out toxins, soothing weary or aching muscles and joints.

3. Saunarium – A combination of a traditional sauna and steam room, the saunarium is enjoyable for longer periods of time leaving skin feeling soft and cleansed. If you experience conditions such as high blood pressure the saunarium is still accessible and it’s also good for warming and soothing aching muscles and drawing out toxins.

4. Balinese salt inhalation room – A hot salt infused steam room which allows maximum detoxification. A warm saltwater mist fills the room around you creating a similar sensation to a walk along a beach taking in the sea air, gently rehydrating your body; a highly refreshing experience cleansing body, lungs and soul.

5. Herbal sauna – This rejuvenating room consists of a dry sauna with herbs giving calming medicinal benefits to the body and creating balancing effects in the body. The herbs used in the herbal sauna penetrate the skin and open up the skin pores. They are also inhaled allowing the whole body from head to toe to benefit from their beneficial properties. The herbal sauna is excellent for improving and stimulating blood circulation and helps detoxify.

6. Pedidarium - A relaxing foot cleansing ritual as seen in Roman times that stimulates circulation and the reflexology points in feet. Good for improving and stimulating blood circulation, reducing cellulite and stretch marks, helps with arthritis and detoxifies.

7. Outdoor sauna - Enjoy a sauna surrounded by the outdoors. Great for calming the mind.

Other spa facilities include a hydrotherapy pool, outdoor sauna, outdoor hot tub, and cold treatments such as ice fountain, monsoon showers, and a plunge bucket and rope shower as well as various relaxation rooms.

Possibly the most relaxing two hours you will ever spend, the Aqua Thermal Journey is included in all Spa Hotel packages or can be enjoyed on a day visit from just £27 per person. Visit www.ribbyhall.co.uk/spa-hotel or telephone 01772 674 482/483 to book."
