Love life at Lifehouse

Lifehouse Country Spa Resort is a contemporary residential and day health spa, purpose built to meet the needs of the modern spa-goer. It is situated in the pretty village of Thorpe-le-Soken, Essex, eighty minutes by train from London Liverpool Street.

This day and stay spa is set within 130 acres of beautiful grounds which include 12 acres of historic, listed gardens. The gardens were much improved in the 1920s and '30s by Lady Byng, the one time mistress of Thorpe Hall and wife of Lord Byng, a personal envoy to George V.

You may choose to eat in our fine-dining restaurant Water lilies which boasts a fantastic menu full of locally and organic English food, that is both nourishing and self indulgent if you choose. You can also have a smoothie or snack in our Strawberry Tree bar or you may want to relax in our bar Water lilies for a cocktail in the evening.

We have experts here who can help you with fitness and wellbeing to get you back on track and you can enjoy the activity schedule which has classes for you such as Pilates, Boot Camp, Aqua-Fit, Zumba and Meditation.

There are 89 bedrooms, 35 treatment rooms, plus a gym, exercise studio, swimming pool, thermal spa area, salt room, steam room and plunge pool, relaxation area, 15 manicure and pedicure stations and 3 make up stations, and not forgetting our unique Oriental Bathing Experience.
